Analyse your board.

February 2023

Life is chess.

DON’T stop reading now.

It isn’t what you think.

I won’t go all nerdy on you with chess.

I’ll keep it simple.

Every move you make on the board of life changes the position.

Sounds easy and trivial enough.

But no one takes that into account before making the move.

It’s easy to fall for the temptation of making the flashy move.

The move that looks good on the surface.

The move that feels right.

Chess doesn’t care about your feelings, neither does life.

Did you analyse your position well?

If you did you probably found the best move.

But it isn’t that flashy move that might work.

It’s the obvious boring move that will work.

However you don’t wanna play that.

Yet it’s factually the best move for you.

You know you should be going to the gym.

You know you should be eating healthy.

You know you should be working.

You know you should be taking care of the people around you.

You know you should be spending time with your loved ones.

You know you could do more.

Yet you don’t.

I know it’s almost impossible to always make the right move.

All I’m saying is analyse your position, since everyone’s position is a bit different, and play the best move.

If you can get into the habit of thinking about: ”What’s my best move right now?”

Then you will stop yourself from playing the bad moves most of the time.

Analyse your board.

And make the best move.

Never Finished by David Goggins

This is not a self-help book. It's a wake-up call!

Goggins

Oh boy this books is extreme and I love it.

This dude literally records himself reading hate comments from his social media.

And then plays it on loudspeakers when he’s home minding his own business or on a run.

David has a shit ton of trauma, to put it lightly.

And in this book he explains how he overcame them, the Goggins way.

Can’t hurt me is the eye opener that’ll get you started.

Never finished will make sure you never finish;

that you’ll always stay hard.
